Rock Door

Completely Safe Doors

For over 20 years Rock Door have known that their doors needed to be strong, secure, well-crafted and fitting to the environment it is to be used in. Their locks and reinforcement are the best available on the market today, helping to protect thousands of homeowners and families from burglary.

Designs

Every Rock Door is strong and stylish. After all; what good is pretty, if the result is not practical?

Whether it’s a front door or back door, a Rock Door creates the perfect look for your home. You can view all of the available styles, colours, glass design and door furniture to see what actually suits the look and feel of your property. A Rock Door is never ever ‘off the shelf’, with each door being made to the exact specification of your door requirements, every time. Guaranteed. No exceptions.

Opening, closing and slamming! A Rock Door will contend with years of use and abuse. Being virtually maintenance free, a Rock Door can last well over thirty years. That’s long enough to have started a family, gone through teething, been proud at their first sports day, squabbled, helped them grow and then see them fly the nest. Not many other products or composite doors can survive that.

Glazing Options

Nearly 70% of burglaries involve forced entry through the front or back door. Rock Door’s nickel-coated solid brass hook locks slide into steel keeps that run the full length of the doors outer frame. It means your Rock Door can’t be forced open, keeping you and your family safe.

Contrary to popular belief, burglars prefer to quietly unclip and remove the glazing panels in front and back doors rather than smash their way through them. And with a lot of composite doors, it only takes them a minute or two. In Rock Doors, the double glazing is instead part of the door itself. So, no matter how hard they try, they can’t get in.

Rock Door grabbed the front pages in 2004 with the headline of ‘Door that beat the Bobbies’. No matter how much the police smashed it with battering rams, the Rock Door didn’t give in. Police eventually halted their attempts of breaking through a Rock Door composite door. A great vindication for the door’s strength.

Rock Doors are so tough that enquiries started coming in from emergency services asking how to get through one! So a training course was planned to demonstrate which industrial strength power tools were needed. The rest is a trade secret, but rest assured, burglars can’t force open a Rock Door composite door.

It’s also reassuring to hear and read about our 3-star cylinders (The best currently available), multi-point locks, 50mm thickness, hinge blocks, steel drill plates, carbon fibre reinforcement, toughened glass, S-Glaze technology and high impact skins used on a Rock Door. But we reckon that what matters most to you as you lock up your home is that the only way to get past your Rock Door is with your key.

On the face of it, Formula 1 racing cars, orbiting satellites and fighter jets would seem to have little in common. In fact, they all rely on carbon fibre to guarantee that they’ll be able to withstand phenomenal force. No surprise then that Rock Door chose it to reinforce their range of Ultimate Rock Door composite doors. Carbon fibre is also the material of choice when it comes to maximising thermal efficiency in composite doors. Carbon fibre doesn’t permit heat loss like timber or aluminium strengthened doors do.

Because of Rock Doors high-density core, it’s impossible to cut through them. This also ensures that they offer the most energy efficient (A++ Rated) composite door available. Each Rock Door is made-to-measure and so is unique to your home. Because most commonly available composite doors are mass produced – often to a standard shape, and then cut down to fit your doorway, they’re inherently weaker, less secure and prone to draughts.

The heat that’s lost through standard composite doors (Such as those made of wood or glass reinforced plastic) means they can’t compete with a Rock Door in terms of security and energy efficiency.

S-Glaze is a unique way of glazing Rock Doors for the ultimate thermal performance. The specially coated double-glazed unit in a Rock Door is filled with a safe gas called Argon, a gas great for insulation. The glass is then bonded to the door, vacuumed and locked in for life, meaning no cold air can pass through the door like other doors using clip-on glazing cassettes.

Thanks to the unique S-Glaze technology eliminating draughts, and carbon fibre reinforcing meaning Rock Doors are timber free, they’re able to offer the largest range of A++ doors available – by some way too.
Like your safety, your energy bills are in good hands.
